Hey Newgrounds!

Here's what we're working on:

• Currently submitting: "Tight Pants Ultra Bold" to some local screenings and festivals
• Currently animating: A very weird, post-apocalyptic scifi short in the same visual style as "Frutos Rojos", but with super detailed ink and airbrush backgrounds inspired by Heavy Metal magazine (about 2/3 complete)
• Currently boarding: A Halloween short, which, realistically, may not finish production until December, which would mean I'd hold onto and release it for Hween 2024. I'm boarding it as if it's going to be 2d (same style as "GAINZ"), but I may pivot to cutout, because that takes way less time to produce. If I do go cutout, it'll probably look a lot like "Randall", but with more hand-drawn puppet parts (instead of fully shape-based character designs)
• Speaking of "Randall"- we do have a sequel fully outlined and mostly scripted, but since me and J-Man live in different cities now, it's going to be tough to figure out a time to get it made (unless we do something drastic like pivot to Blender so we collaborate remotely??)
• Currently writing: two short scripts; a new Georgie short about a middle school field trip gone wrong, and another that takes place in the grassy world of high-school soccer.

I have to balance my desire to release new things with the fact that I have no outside funding, and the way I make things takes a long time. So -- high amounts of effort are going into my sci-fi short, which I'm aiming to have at rough cut phase in April 2024, and ready for festival submissions in Fall 2024. I'd love to also make at least one other small comedic project before the end of the year, but work and freelance is keeping me busy --- we shall see!
